[THESSALONIKI, GREECE, NOVEMBER 2019] GLASS SA, based in Thessaloniki, has recently selected software specialist FeneTech as their long-term software partner and will implement the fully integrated FeneVision ERP software solution. The agreement was closed during a joint meeting at one of their factories in late November 2019.

Siemens Vertical Glass and FeneTech plan collaboration for fully automated and digitalized glass processing

[KARLSRUHE, GERMANY, NOVEMBER 2019] Two partners, one goal: With its FeneVision ERP system, software specialist FeneTech would round out the Siemens automation and digitalization portfolio for the glass processing industry. That’s a good reason to collaborate; initial pilot applications are already in the planning stages.

[KLAIPEDA, LITHUANIA, October 2019] GLASSBEL, based in Klaipeda, Lithuania, has recently selected software specialist FeneTech, creator of FeneVision ERP software, as their new long-term software partner. FeneTech and UAB GLASSBEL finalized the agreement during a meeting in late October 2019 at GLASSBEL’s Klaipeda factory.

In response to their exponential growth, Aurora, Ohio software company FeneTech, Inc. has recently named Matt Buchanan to the newly created position of Director of Software Development. Additionally, according to FeneTech President & CEO Ron Crowl, the company has created a series of technical leads over which Buchanan will be responsible.

ERP systems provide direct digital communication, passing work instructions to machinery and providing the ability to go paperless on the shop floor.  To this end, companies rush to collect massive amounts of data and place it in the cloud with the mindset of, “once we get the data, we’ll figure out what to do with it.” This sounds like a recipe for failure. Instead, let’s first consider what the vision of a good Fourth Industrial Revolution manufacturing plant would look like for a window and door fabricator.

The fenestration industry is waking up to technology advancements and automation. While some companies have invested in more automated factories for years, industry suppliers and economic forecasters have seen a shift in the past two to three years where this type of investment is growing into a mainstream industry trend. The robots and automated machinery widely on display and sold at industry trade shows is one indication of this growing trend.
