FeneVision Core

The Core Software is one of the cornerstone products within the FeneVision family. The Core software provides valuable production control and information to both plant management and direct labor. The modular software is deployed on networked PCs to schedule, optimize, execute and track IG, window and door manufacturing. The Core software can either interface to your existing business systems (order entry, invoicing, purchasing, etc.) via a custom import/export module or operate as a stand-alone package.

Core Functions

Order Entry / Quotation - Quotations and Orders are entered through the integrated Order Entry Module. This easy to use interface allows quotations to be turned into orders at any time simply by changing the type of the order. A configurable option wizard allows different options to be presented for each unique model that can be ordered. The ability to customize validation rules eliminates costly errors made during order entry. FeneVision allows order acknowledgments to be electronically faxed or e-mailed directly to your clients.

Production Scheduling - Visual scheduling tools allow orders to be scheduled considering plant configuration and capacity. User defined order and model views facilitate the scheduling process. Within a production schedule batches can be defined so that efficient production flow can be obtained on the shop floor. Finalizing a schedule allows the user to visually see the production sequence and make adjustments if needed.

Releasing Schedules to the Shop Floor - Releasing a schedule to manufacturing is simply done by selecting a schedule that has been finalized and pressing the Release button. After a schedule has been released machine files, reports and labels can be generated. Any open architecture machinery can be interfaced to. During the release function lineal optimization is performed and the amount of raw materials required to produce the schedule is captured so that the inventory can be updated properly.

Shipping Management - Truck routes are easily built by selecting orders to be included on the truck from within the Route Builder. Shipping paperwork for the truck can then be printed. The Route Builder provides an integrated link to the FeneVision Tracking Stations used at the shipping docks.

Reports & Labels - FeneVision was designed with the philosophy of minimizing all paperwork on the shop floor with the realization that bar code labels and some reports will still be required to facilitate production. The amount of paperwork used on your shop floor is totally in your control with FeneVision.

Purchasing & Receiving - FeneVision's integrated Purchasing Module provides the ability to generate purchase orders based on actual raw material usage. This tool provides the user with the ability to fully define vendors, raw materials, and reorder points. In addition to generating purchase orders, this tool provides a receiving function as well as tools for cycle counts.

Inventory Control - The system has an inventory module that provides the information to help manage your raw material stock as well as accurate costing of orders.

Invoicing - Invoices are generated directly from the application.

Bill of Materials - The heart of the system is the flexible Bill of Material module. This module allows product models to be built and accurate bill of materials dynamically generated when orders are entered. An embedded Basic editor and compiler provide unlimited customization capabilities.

Pricing - Unparalleled pricing capabilities have been designed into the software to meet the diverse pricing methods used within this industry. Any number of price books can be configured in the system. A wide range of pricing methods is available including grid pricing for both models and options.

Accounting Interfaces - FeneVision was designed as an open architecture system allowing seamless interfaces with accounting / business systems. Interfaces exist for many accounting packages. If we don't have an interface for your open architecture accounting or business system we will develop it!

Machine Interfaces - Any open architecture machinery can be interfaced to. Each of these machines has a unique interface to allow the maximum flexibility of routing material through the shop floor.
